BizAd Charity Run rakes in $140,000

About 1,300 participated in this year's Run

The NUS BizAd Charity Run 2015 on 10 January raised about $140,000 for students of Assumption Pathway School and financially needy NUS business undergraduates. More than 1,300 participants braved the hilly inclines of Kent Ridge Campus in either the 5km Fun Run or 10km Competitive Run. 

Among the better known participants were Business School alumna Ms Lim Heem Wei, the first Singaporean gymnast to have competed in the Olympic Games; 85-year-old Mr Chan Meng Hui, the event's oldest participant; as well as Singapore's "Blade Runner, Mr Shariff Abdullah.

The Charity Run, which kicked off NUS Business School's 50th anniversary celebrations, was graced by Guest-of-Honour Mrs Josephine Teo, Senior Minister of State for Finance and Transport.
