Research for a "smart nation"

Early next year, NUS will launch a new smart nation research cluster, in line with Singapore's plans to become the world's first smart nation, said Professor Ho Teck Hua, NUS Deputy President (Research and Technology) and Tan Chin Tuan Centennial Professor. It will examine three specific areas: big data from different sectors, optimising results obtained from this analysis, and safeguarding cyber security. The cluster, involving more than 50 researchers, will integrate different disciplines, he added.
