Teamwork propels public transport

NUS is looking to boost research collaboration in the area of public transport, having inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Public Transport Council (PTC) on 2 February. NUS Deputy President (Academic Affairs) and Provost Professor Tan Eng Chye and PTC Chairman Mr Richard Magnus signed the MOU, witnessed by PTC Chief Executive Mr Alvin Chia and NUS Engineering Dean Professor Chua Kee Chaing.

The research will cover public transportation fares and service quality-related issues, such as fare-setting mechanism, benchmarking fares and service quality measures.
