470 duo beat odds for unlikely gold

Sailors 470 pair Ms Elisa Yukie Yokoyama and Ms Cheryl Teo won the women’s 470 gold medal at the SEA Games on 27 August 2017. Ms Yokoyama, a current student from the Bachelor of Environmental Studies programme at NUS Faculty of Science, will be taking a year off school, starting August 2017, to work towards her ultimate goal of qualifying for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.
