America risks turning its back on its gift to the world

Mr J.C. Thomas of the Centre for International Law at NUS shared the history of the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot which has evolved into an international competition that has benefited law students across the globe. He opined that Americans need to appreciate how the promotion of international law has been instrumental in creating a US-led rules-based international order that has enabled many other countries to develop and prosper and that, in the process, some important American values have become universal.
