Artificial structures help reefs bloom again

A study by marine biologists from NUS found that a structure which looks like an overturned flower pot, called a reef enhancement unit, could help degraded coral reefs bloom again. The research was led by Mr Lionel Ng, a PhD student from the Dept of Biological Sciences at NUS Faculty of Science, and the team members comprised Adjunct Research Prof Chou Loke Ming and Dr Toh Tai Chong from the Tropical Marine Science Institute at NUS.
