Automatically converting videos, photos into 3D

Assoc Prof Ng Teck Khim and a team of scientists from the NUS School of Computing has developed a system based on computer-vision technology to automatically convert videos and photographs into 3D that can be seen from any angle without the need for special glasses. The team has applied this technology to rapid 3D environment modelling, localisation and mapping.
