The Brics grouping – a decade on

Prof Sumit Agarwal, Low Tuck Kwong Distinguished Professor and Head of the Dept of Finance at NUS Business School shared his observations on the current economic situations of the Brics nations – Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa which were hotly touted as emerging economies 10 years ago. He opined that for Brics to regain its reputation, these economies would have to make use of policies and technological innovation to do much more, not just for economic growth, but for a future where every citizen can share in the nation’s prosperity.
