Building trust in SkillsFuture scheme

Mr Andrew Yeo from NUS Institute of Policy Studies observed that some parents and students remain sceptical about the SkillsFuture scheme as they typically take the view that a degree is essential to career progression. To help change these mindsets, he opined that besides an imparting of skills, SkillsFuture must also be about the recognition that through the process of unlearning and relearning, one's formal qualifications matter less and less.
