Can India ever qualify for the World Cup?

Dr Ronojoy Sen, Senior Research Fellow and Research Lead (Politics, Society and Governance) at the Institute of South Asian Studies at NUS, noted India’s decline in football. He opined that to qualify for the World Cup, India must be willing to make significant investments in grassroots programmes and infrastructure and further develop its nascent professional league.
