Casinos, Sars top list of best remembered S'pore events

A study on public perceptions of Singapore's history conducted by the Institute of Policy Studies at NUS found that the three events most Singaporeans remember in the nation's history are the opening of the two casinos in 2010, the 2003 outbreak of the deadly Sars virus and the spate of major MRT breakdowns about three years ago.
