Challenge Tomorrow

Blk71 at Ayer Rajah managed by NUS Enterprise is home to 250 start-ups, including e-commerce businesses incubated by NUS Enterprise like Carousell and ShopBack. The success of Blk71 has inspired JTC to upgrade its neighbouring flatted factory blocks into the JTC LaunchPad@one-north which houses numerous start-ups that use and commercialise technology developed at the NUS labs. These include: DynaOptics – which produces special lenses for cameras and smartphones; T.Ware – which developed a special vest that hugs and comforts autistic children; and Osteopore – an NUS spinoff which designs, develops and markets bio-resorbable polymer implants for neurosurgical, orthopaedic and maxillofacial surgical use.
