China should deal with South China Sea disputes rationally

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, opined that China should prevent the South China Sea disputes from becoming an opportunity for Japan to expand its geopolitical influence. He added that Japan could emerge as the biggest winner from the rising tension between China and some ASEAN states in recent years.
