China-US relations under the shadow of geopolitics

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, noted that while Southeast Asia can be said to be the most stable region in the world following the end of the Cold War, there have been greater concerns about geopolitical conflict in the region as a result of various maritime sovereignty disputes that took place in recent years.
