The China-US trade war and the politics of mutual dependence between major powers

Dr Chen Gang, Assistant Director at the East Asian Institute at NUS, noted that the political and trade relations between China and the US are already established, with many official and non-official channels of engagement. He does not believe a trade war will spill over to other aspects of bilateral ties as both countries are economically dependent on the other.
