China wages war on pollution

Distinguished Visiting Prof Asit K Biswas at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS and Dr Cecilia Tortajada, Senior Research Fellow at the School’s Institute of Water Policy noted that as the effects of environmental pollution in China become more devastating and visible, the government has strengthened its Environmental Protection Law this year for the first time in a quarter of a century.
