Core ideas key to healthcare reform

Prof Sumit Agarwal, Visiting Professor of Finance at NUS Business School, and Ms Cheryl Lim from the EDHEC Business School, discussed an op-ed in The New York Times, which cited Singapore’s healthcare system as the example for America to follow. Prof Agarwal and Ms Lim highlighted that there are other reasons for Singapore’s success, and opined that America’s priority is to agree on the core principles, then put a system in place and do the work to improve it over time and make it the right one for Americans.
