Corporate governance reforms ring empty if compliance is not enforced

Assoc Prof Lawrence Loh, Director of the Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations at NUS Business School noted that compliance is at the heart of the corporate governance landscape especially since it is subject to “interpretation and gaming”. He highlighted that proper enforcement will determine the effectiveness of the new reforms.
