Drastic action needed to cut water use here

Reflecting on the future of Singapore’s water, Prof Asit K. Biswas from Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, and Dr Cecilia Tortajada, of the School’s Institute of Water Policy, discussed the recent announcement made by the Singapore Government to raise the price of water. They stressed that it is essential to engage the population in the formulation of future policies through a robust communication strategy with all the facts, figures and implications of possible decisions; and this will ensure the nation’s water security for decades to come.
