Driverless shuttle bus to start passenger trial at NUS Kent Ridge campus

NUS, ComfortDelGro, Inchcape Singapore and EasyMile announced that the NUSmart Shuttle, a self-driving shuttle bus, has begun taking passengers from 30 Jul 2019 in a year-long trial to study the commercial viability of the service, after undergoing road tests for one-and-a-half months. The autonomous shuttle, which can carry up to 12 people, will service a 1.6km route, starting from the innovation 4.0 building and will travel between Heng Mui Keng Terrace and Business Link at NUS’ Kent Ridge campus.
