Duke-NUS researchers find dengue virus changes shape to resist vaccines and drugs

Researchers from Duke-NUS Medical School have found that the dengue virus serotype 2, which is dominant in Singapore over the last few years, could change its shape from smooth and spherical to a bumpy surface through mutations that help the virus evade the immune system of the human host and resist vaccines and drugs.
