Engineering the future of medicine

Prof Lim Chwee Teck, NUS Society Professor with the Dept of Biomedical Engineering at NUS Faculty of Engineering, as well as Acting Director of the Biomedical Institute for Global Health Research and Technology at NUS, noted that from personalised medicine to artificial intelligence and big data, biomedical technology will be invaluable in healthcare. He added that the ultimate aim of the medical technology is not to take over the role of doctors, but to allow them to do a better job.
