The epoch-making significance of the 'Xi-Ma meeting'

Prof Huang Jing, Director of the Centre on Asia and Globalisation at the NUS Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, observed that the 7 November 2015 historic meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Taiwanese President Ma Ying-jeou will turn a new chapter in cross-strait ties and have an epoch-making effect on the development of cross-strait ties and eventual peaceful reunification.
