How do companies help China escape the ‘middle income trap’

Prof Zheng Yongnian of the East Asian Institute at NUS discussed how companies could assist China in escaping the trap of the middle income. He suggested that the Government might wish to think of what the enterprises needed, what useful initiatives the country could do for the enterprises and what the country should not do to the enterprises.
