How a Singaporean was picked to head a top UN agency

Prof Tommy Koh, who is from the NUS Faculty of Law and the Rector of Tembusu College at NUS, shared aboutthe process by which Mr Daren Tang became the first Singaporean picked to head the World Intellectual Property Organisation, a specialised agency of the United Nations. Prof Koh opined that this can be credited to Mr Tang’s credentials, Singapore’s impeccable IP record, and the support that Singapore received from other countries.
