IMH study: Parents of children with depression or anxiety disorders more likely to be suffering from the same conditions

A study of the Institute of Mental Health, which was led by Asst Prof Sharon Cohan Sung from Duke-NUS Medical School, found that a greater proportion of parents of children with depression, anxiety or obsessive-compulsive disorders suffer from the same conditions. Routine screening in this population of parents may help to close the current treatment gap for adults with mood and anxiety disorders.
