Innovative online platform to help needy students

Mr Muhammad Syakir Hashim, a student from NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, has set up skolafund.com, a web platform to help needy students to crowdfund their scholarships for higher education. The platform, which has helped around 60 students, mostly Malaysians, has attracted more than 6,000 users and crowdfunded more than RM400,000 since its establishment in April 2016.
