Launch of book documenting silat history in Singapore

‘Silat Seni Gayong PASAK Singapura: A Historical Legacy’, a book authored by Dr Mohamed Effendy Abdul Hamid from the Dept of Southeast Asian Studies at NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, is the first book to document the history of silat in Singapore since the gayong art form was founded in 1942.
