The long and short of elections

Dr Ronojoy Sen from the Institute of South Asian Studies and the South Asian Studies Programme at NUS noted that neither the six-week election in India nor the one-day version in Indonesia is ideal. He felt that there is a need to rethink election schedules for better poll management as well as to provide a level playing field.
