Many SGX-listed firms not getting Internal Audit right
Assoc Prof Mak Yuen Teen from the Dept of Accounting at NUS Business School, Dr Zhu Zinan from NTU and Mr Chew Yi Hong, a researcher in corporate governance opined that as required by Singapore Exchange’s new rule, internal audit needs to be in place on an ongoing basis, and is effective, adequately resourced and independent of the activities that it audits.
