Many working out of need, not out of choice

Asst Prof Ng Kok Hoe from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS noted that the motivation behind the elderly who work could either be of vulnerability and need, or of productivity, active ageing and choice because it gives meaning and a sense of independence.
