National Day Awards 2019

Mr J Y Pillay, former Chairman of the Council of Presidential Advisers and Rector of the College of Alice & Peter Tan at NUS, was awarded the Order of Temasek (With Distinction), Singapore's highest civilian honour.

NUS Honorary Doctor of Letters Dr Gerard Ee Hock Kim, Chairman of the Charity Council and Agency for Integrated Care, was honoured with the Distinguished Service Order.

Mr Teo Siong Seng, NUS Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Singapore Business Federation and Mr Kai Nargolwala, Chairman of Duke-NUS Medical School Governing Board were accorded the Public Service Star.

Prof Bernard John Lanskey, Dean of NUS Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music; Prof Simon Chesterman, Dean of NUS Faculty of Law; Dr Peck Thian Guan, Director of NUS Office of Safety, Health and Environment; and Ms Ovidia Lim-Rajaram, Chief Communications Officer at the NUS Office of University Communications were among those awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver).
