New scientific discovery may enable early detection of breast cancer

A team led by 2ers from the Dept of Biochemistry at NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine had found that the cancer gene, WBP2, is linked to aggressive breast cancers. The WBP2 gene has been patented in the US as a biomarker for cancer detection and prognosis.
