Not all bats fly at night

Mr Marcus Chua, mammal scientist and senior tutor from the Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum at NUS, and Dr Sheema Abdul Aziz, President of Malaysian conservation research group Rimba, have discovered that the Blyth’s horse-shoe bat – a bat species that is nocturnal in Singapore and other parts of the world – is diurnal on Malaysia’s Tioman Island.
