NUS academic sounds warning on falsehoods spread among elderly Singaporeans

Asst Prof Elmie Nekmat from the Dept of Communications and New Media at NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences suggested that senior citizens form the group that is easily influenced and exposed to fake news, advising that one early measure to help this group to be media literate is to develop an inclusive netizen community which could be achieved through comprehensive efforts to close the generation gap.
