NUS biologists identified gene that affects appearance of the top side of a butterfly’s wings

Assoc Prof Antonia Monteiro and NUS PhD student Ms Anupama Prakash from the Dept of Biological Sciences at NUS Faculty of Science identified the gene apterous A, which affects the appearance of the top wing surfaces of the African squinting bush brown butterfly.
