NUS don: Mainland China may seek “active unification” with Taiwan after 19th CPC National Congress

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS opined that Chinese President Mr Xi Jinping will consolidate his power during the Communist Party of China’s 19th National Congress and the mainland Chinese government might seek “active unification” with Taiwan to bring an end to the long-standing issue.
