NUS experts recommend focus on five states for investments into India

Mr Gopinath Pillai, Chairman of the Institute of South Asian Studies at NUS, discussed how companies looking to invest in India should focus on five states: Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. Mr Pillai and Assoc Prof Tan Khee Giap, Co-Director of the Asia Competitiveness Institute (ACI) at Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, were part of a delegation that attended the public forum for the 10th India-Singapore Strategic Dialogue in New Delhi, where Assoc Prof Tan presented the findings of a 2017 study by ACI which ranked the top 10 states that are most competitive in India.
