NUS-led team discovers 5 new bird species

A research team, led by Assoc Prof Frank Rheindt from the Dept of Biological Sciences at NUS Faculty of Science, has discovered five new species and five subspecies of birds from three small groups of islands in the Indonesian archipelago – the Sula, Banggai and Togian groups, making a quantum leap in avian discovery.
