NUS researchers discover a game-changer for biofuel production
A research team led by Assoc Prof He Jianzhong from the Dept of Civil and Environmental Engineering at NUS Faculty of Engineering has discovered how to isolate and harness a naturally occurring bacterium from mushroom crop residue, and use it to convert cellulose, a plant-based material, to biobutanol, a biofuel.
