NUS researchers discover novel possibility of using blue LEDs as chemical-free food preservation method

A team of NUS researchers, led by Asst Prof Yuk Hyun-Gyun, from NUS Faculty of Science, found that blue light emitting diodes (LEDs) in refrigerators are major bug busters capable of killing bacteria that cause food poisoning.
