NUS State of the University Address 2015

In his State of the University Address, NUS President Prof Tan Chorh Chuan announced several new initiatives that are aimed at maximising students'potential and enhancing NUS researchers' impact in areas of great importance to Singapore. A total of S$30 million will be set aside to help students and graduates gain career skills and enhance their employability. This includes the setting up of the NUS School of Continuing and Lifelong Education (SCALE), NUS Institute for Application of Learning Science, as well as new programmes led by the NUS Centre for Future-ready Graduates.

Prof Tan also announced that NUS will be building two NUS Solutioning Networks for healthcare transformation and smart nation research, and the university is also in the process of building the National Cybersecurity R&D Laboratory, a new Data Science Institute and a Cybersecurity Consortium.
