NUS study: cancer-related fatigue in patients may be caused by reduction of “power stations” in the body

A team led by Assoc Prof Alexandre Chan from the Dept of Pharmacy at NUS Faculty of Science has found that measuring the amount of mitochondria in the blood could help doctors identify patients who are suffering from cancer-related fatigue, and develop strategies to better manage this side effect in patients.
