NUS study: Higher crime rates in areas with greater economic disparity

A study led by Dr Leong Chan Hoong, Head of the Social Lab at the Institute of Policy Studies at NUS, has found that crime rates are higher in areas where there is greater economic disparity among residents. The study also found that the crime rates in Singapore is not related to the ethnic diversity of an area.
