NUS study: Lack of knowledge, fear of becoming burden among reasons Singapore women don't go for breast cancer screening

A study conducted by NUS researchers from NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, in collaboration with international area specialists, anthropologists and the medical community, provided insights into reasons behind the low uptake of breast cancer screening and early treatment among Asian women. The findings of the study are published in the book Breast Cancer Meanings: Journeys Across Asia.
