NUS study reveals innovation, ecosystem support key to startup growth, job creation

Prof Wong Poh Kam, Director of NUS Entrepreneurship Centre, presented an NUS study titled ‘Growth and Job Creation Dynamics of High-tech Startups in Singapore’ at The Business Times’ Leaders Forum 2017 on startup growth and job creation. The study found that innovation and ecosystem support were key to startup growth and job creation, and that job-creating startups have spent more on R&D and have higher IP ownership than non-creators.
