NUS team hopes its app will keep Thieves’ Market alive

An NUS team has created an app Sungei Treasures, which will allow Sungei Road hawkers to show off their wares and receive donated goods. Dr Jude Yew from NUS Department of Communications and New Media, together with four NUS undergraduates, came up with the digital platform to keep memories of the place alive after the hawkers pack up for good on 10 July.
