NUS team identifies gene that could be linked to forgetfulness after chemo

Assoc Prof Alexandre Chan and PhD candidate Mr Terence Ng from the Dept of Pharmacy at NUS Faculty Science found that early-stage breast cancer patients with a variation of the brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF) gene are less likely to get cognitive impairment after chemotherapy.
