Ode to the heartland: Think outside the block

Architect Mr Tomoshisa Miyauchi of the Dept of Architecture at NUS School of Design and Environment; art educator Mr Tamae Iwasaki; and fine art printer Mr Eitaro Ogawa photographed 118 households over three years to show how each owner put his own spin on the interiors. The project resulted in a 680-page photography book HDB: Homes of Singapore, which showcased the everyday lives of Singaporeans in their HDB flats.
