One should not count pennies when discussing education

Assoc Prof Ong Chang Woei from the Department of Chinese Studies at NUS Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences discussed the recent suggestion by Education Minister Ong Ye Kung that ITE graduates consider the opportunity costs when deciding on whether to enrol in programmes at private universities. He opined that a university education should have other implications than just employment and remuneration.
